Let's meet Flora...
Q1. What inspired you to join CPB UK?
FP: I was drawn to CPB UK because it feels like the kind of place where I can keep learning, take on new challenges, and be part of something exciting. I love the idea of growing with a company that values both personal development and teamwork.
Q2. What’s your prime focus as part of the management team?
FP: My prime focus as part of the management team is to create an environment where our people can perform at their best. That means setting clear goals, supporting the team with the right resources, and encouraging open communication.
Q3. What’s your favourite part about working at CPB UK?
FP: My favourite part about working at CPB UK is the opportunity to keep learning. I also really value the supportive team culture – everyone works together, shares knowledge, and pushes each other to do their best. It’s a great feeling to be part of a company that values development, teamwork, and delivering high-quality work.
Q4. What does success look like for your team or department?
FP: Success for our team means delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard, whilst also maintaining strong teamwork and communication throughout. It’s not just about meeting targets, but also about how we get there: supporting each other, solving problems together, and continuously improving the way we work. When the team is motivated, engaged, and proud of what we’ve achieved, that’s real success.
Q5. How do you stay inspired and continue learning?
FP: I stay inspired by always being curious and open to learning something new. Whether it’s taking on different tasks, asking questions, or learning from people with more experience, I try to pick up something from every situation. I also enjoy reflecting on what went well and what could be improved – it keeps me motivated to keep growing and getting better at what I do.
Q6. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received from a colleague?
FP: The best piece of advice I’ve received from a colleague is to never stop asking questions. They reminded me that curiosity shows you care about what you’re doing and helps you learn faster. That advice really stuck with me – it’s helped me build confidence, improve my skills, and better understand the bigger picture on every project.
Q7. What’s on your current playlist or reading list?
FP: I’m reading a mix of books that really reflect different sides of what interests me. I’m reading The Bible, The Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort, which I find great for learning about communication and influence; and The Housemaid by Freida McFadden – I love a good thriller to unwind after a busy day.
My playlist is pretty diverse – I like listening to music from different genres and languages. Right now, I’ve got Adi Oasis – Whisper My Name, DJ Antoine, Sido & Moe Phoenix – Yallah Habibi, Bruno Mars – Die With a Smile, Chris Brown – Go Crazy, July 7 – Slow Mow, and Gya – Flamenco Party. I enjoy mixing different styles because it keeps things fresh.
Every person at CPB UK plays a part in shaping who we are, and Flora's story is the second of many that inspire us. That’s a wrap for this edition of Inside CPB: Meet the Team.
